Laure Adler is a journalist, historian, and writer specializing in women’s history and feminism in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She is the author of numerous works, notably Until Tonight and a biography of Marguerite Duras. Elisa L�cosse is a doctor of art history and has published Love in the Louvre and a book on Renaissance iconography. She lectures frequently in France and the U.K.

I keep this book by my tv to flip through during commercials; each page features one "dangerus woman" with a classic painting or two; the subtitle is really geared to marketing - I wouldn't say these are femmes fatales, which has pulp/noir conotations. Most are women from myths and the boble. The really strength is the art which are paintings I hadn't seen before. Great addition to an art book collection.
