This is a wonderful book by a famous Orthodox writer

This is a wonderful book by a famous Orthodox writer. (See also his book on The Jesus Prayer.). It contains two retreat talks, one on deepening prayer (the Burning Bush) and one on the 23rd Psalm. The book is full of hope and grace. Each short chapter (maybe about 10 of them) would make a great daily devotion.
